I offer individual and group sessions with adults, ages 18 and older. I find clients get the most benefit from meeting weekly. Each session lasts 45 minutes.
My specialties are college and graduate students, young professionals, career-changers, and expatriates and adult third-culture kids. I have worked with clients on many different issues including life transitions, anxiety, depression, cultural adjustments, quarter-life crises, professional changes, personal growth, physical illness, domestic violence and trauma, self-confidence and self-esteem, and stress management. Whatever you are struggling with, I am here to help you. Come as you are. My Approach I practice from an integrative theoretical framework grounded in psychodynamic theory. I take a strengths-based, solution-focused approach. So, what does that really mean? We will look at your life experience and personal history to help understand where you are today. We will identify patterns that perhaps were useful in the past, but are no longer working for you. Then, by helping you express your emotions, even the difficult ones, we’ll develop new tools to get you unstuck and moving towards a more full, free, and hopeful way of living. Preparing for your session Please print out these forms and complete them prior to our first session together. If you prefer, I would be happy to give you printed forms when we meet in person and you can take a few minutes in our session to fill them out. Informed Consent Client Information Form Credit Card Authorization I offer a free consultation to help you determine if you would feel comfortable working together. After that, the first few full-length sessions will usually serve to see if we’re a good fit. There is no pressure and no obligation. |
